The limits that apply to cybersecurity services, risk reduction and security information from CAQA Technologies.
Information on the CAQA Technologies website is general in nature and is not a substitute for tailored professional advice. CAQA Technologies, part of CAQA Groups and a Career Calling International initiative, provides managed IT and cybersecurity services through agreed scopes of work based on the information supplied by the client, the systems and environments in scope and the purpose of the engagement. Security, regulatory, insurance, legal, certification or approval outcomes are determined by the relevant authority, body or decision-maker and cannot be guaranteed by website content.
Our security services are designed to reduce risk. They cannot guarantee the prevention of every breach, outage, attack or loss. The threat environment changes constantly: new vulnerabilities are discovered, attackers change techniques, suppliers are compromised and people make mistakes. No combination of controls, including endpoint protection, email security, multi-factor authentication, vulnerability management, patching, backup and security awareness training, can make an organisation immune to compromise. What good security practice does is lower the likelihood of an incident, limit the damage an incident can cause and improve the speed and quality of recovery.
Security outcomes depend on decisions and behaviour inside the client organisation as well as on the services we deliver. Outcomes are affected by how quickly recommended changes are approved, whether staff follow password and multi-factor authentication guidance, how new systems are procured and connected, and whether known risks that a client chooses to accept are revisited over time. Where a client declines a recommended control, delays remediation or operates systems outside the agreed scope, the associated risk remains with the client.
Where we describe services as mapped or aligned to the Australian Cyber Security Centre’s Essential Eight or to other recognised frameworks, this describes the design intent of the service. Alignment with a framework is not a certification, accreditation, audit opinion or warranty, and maturity assessments reflect the evidence available at a point in time. Formal certification against any standard is issued by the relevant certifying body under its own rules.
Client environments depend on third parties, including cloud platforms, internet service providers, software vendors, hosting providers and hardware manufacturers. Outages, vulnerabilities, price changes, support decisions and end-of-life announcements affecting those third parties are outside our control. We work around and respond to third-party issues, but we are not responsible for the performance, security or availability of products and services we do not operate.
This website is written for education and business organisations, including registered training organisations, higher education providers, schools and growing businesses, that are considering managed IT or cybersecurity support. The only personal information collected through this site is the information you submit through the enquiry form or newsletter subscription, and it is handled under our Privacy Policy. No payments are taken through this website, so no refund or cancellation terms apply to website use; commercial terms for services are set out in each written agreement and in our Managed Services Terms.
Nothing on this website is legal advice, and nothing we publish should be used as the sole basis for insurance, notification or disclosure decisions. Decisions about cyber insurance cover, policy conditions and claims sit with the client and its insurer or broker. Obligations under the Privacy Act 1988 (Cth), including the Notifiable Data Breaches scheme, and any sector-specific reporting obligations remain the client’s responsibility, although we can assist with the technical response to an incident as described in our Incident Response Terms.
